Using cashback sites is one of the easiest ways to make some extra money. So far I have received over £1,265.71 (as of 15/11/24) from cashback. Nowadays, it seems that more and more cashback sites and apps are popping up, so the list is growing. You may want to sign up to all of them, even if it’s solely to gain their free sign up bonuses (see below for details), however, it’s definitely worth at least signing up to two of the main cashback sites TopCashback and Quidco, who have been running for many years now.
How Does Cashback Work?
When making purchases online, these sites pay you back a percentage of your money. All you need to do is go through either of the sites first before making a purchase. Just search for your required retailer on the cashback sites first so that they can track any purchases you make.
To make things easier, a lot of the cashback sites have an app for installing on your internet browser, which automatically notifies you when cashback is available on an associated website, as you browse online.
With cashback, the more you shop, the more money you’ll make. So whenever you are thinking of buying something, remember to visit the cashback sites first. More expensive items are likely to gain more cashback. My highest earnings from cashback has come from hotel purchases. So if your interested in making money using cashback sites, then read further and see the list below.

Cashback.co.uk
Using cashback.co.uk (formerly 20cogs) is an easy way to make some extra money, but is more like a ‘get paid to’ website.
Receive a welcome bonus of £10 for free, plus an extra £2.50 for answering 3 quick questions. You must then complete at least 1 task from all 15 levels in order to make a withdrawal. Completing each task will earn you free cash. Most offers are sign up offers or free trials, in which you won’t have to spend any money in order to receive the free cashback. Just set reminders so that you don’t get charged subscription fees, unless you want to continue using the product that is.
I highly recommending signup up to cashback.co.uk and have already made £273.50.
Supermarket Cashback Apps
Checkoutsmart, Green Jinn & Shopmium (use code AKFUAMAY on sign up to get a free bag of dairy milk buttons) are both two handy apps for earning cashback on supermarket items. There are plenty of offers available and they are updated regularly. Some listed items are available for free (after getting 100% cashback).
Earning from the apps is easy. Simply buy any of the items listed on the app from a corresponding supermarket (in-store or online), upload an e-receipt or a picture of the receipt, then cashback will be paid into your account. The great thing about these apps is the speed of the payout, which is much faster then other cashback sites like TopCashback and Quidco.
CheckoutSmart has a minimum withdrawal of £5. You can also use this app to upload your supermarket receipts daily for a chance of winning £10 every day.
Green Jinn has a minimum withdrawal of £1.50 and pays out via PayPal/Bank.
Shopmium has no minimum withdrawal amount and each cashback request is automatically sent to your payout method of either PayPal or bank account.

Airtime Rewards
I would say Airtime Rewards is the easiest and laziest cashback app to use out of them all. Get a £5 BOOSTED Bonus (Usually £2), if you spend within 14 days by using the referral code U7H3VJFP (£5 Boosted Offer Ends before Saturday 16th November).
Connect all your spending cards in order to automatically receive cashback every time you make a purchase from a participating retailer with your linked debit cards or credit cards. The cash you earn is then used to get money off your mobile bill (minimum cash out is £10). It’s basically passive income on your usual spending.
Participating networks: 3, EE, O2, Vodafone
Airtime Rewards regularly give you are chance of earning extra bonuses, whether it’s via monthly spending challenges, referrals, or random reward codes to input.
I signed up to Airtime Rewards when I was on EE, but then moved networks to ID mobile, which is not listed on their site, however they now allow me to withdraw my earnings to my bank. I’m not sure if this situation is applicable when signing up though.
Cashback Received = £39.68
Widilo
Widilo is another cashback site you can use to get rewarded when shopping. Also, as a good incentive, there is a £5 free sign up bonus, after earning £10 cashback. If you like this freebie, check out over £1000 worth of free money offers. Widilo also includes a deal of the day cashback offer, plus a happy hour section, which displays the best discounts and cashback offers found on Widilo.
