Getting paid to fill out online surveys is a simple way to make some extra cash. There are many survey sites out there, which means plenty of surveys to fill out. Below, I will include sites that I have tried, plus some other popular ones.
The duration of surveys can vary from a couple of minutes to over 30 minutes, so just complete ones that suit you. If your like me, anything that takes too long, seems like too much effort, so I do prefer the shorter surveys. The longer surveys obviously pay out more money though.
Surveys can be good for doing whilst chilling on the sofa or watching TV or when you have a bit of spare time. You can often complete them on both mobile devices, pads and computers, however, some surveys can only be completed on certain devices.
One frustrating point about completing surveys is getting screened out of an survey, which means you can’t complete the survey or get paid for it. This can be frustrating because sometimes it happens after starting the survey and answering some of the questions.
Panelbase
Panelbase is one of my favourite survey sites and the one I have used the most, so I do recommend it. They provide a variety of subjects, including lifestyle, television, gaming and finance. Surveys are added quite regularly and mainly take between 10 and 25 minutes.
Some surveys are available across all devices, whilst others are only suitable for PC’s and laptops. To not miss out on a survey, due to time restrictions or number limits, Panelbase will email you invites to new surveys.

Tip: Sign up through Quidco to get an extra 50p Bonus
Cons: You sometimes get screened out of surveys even after starting them.
Crowdology
Crowdology is good for anyone who wants short surveys to fill out because most of them take between 2 and 15 minutes to complete. The site is also simple and easy to navigate.
Minimum Payout Threshold: £4 for PayPal, £10 for Amazon
Withdrawal Methods: PayPal, GCodes, Amazon Gift Card
Extra: You can sometimes enter competitions too.
Qmee
Qmee is also good for short surveys, however there are often only a limited number of surveys available. Don’t despair because Qmee can also help you earn money whilst searching online.
It’s definitely worth signing up for, just for the fact of having no minimum withdrawl threshold, which is amazing, plus you will receive a 50p reward on your first PayPal cashout. You could pretty much cashout instantly after signing up and doing 1 survey or 1 succesful search. Get your FREE 50p now.
Minimum Payout Threshold: No Minimum (£0)
Sign Up Bonus: 50p
Withdrawal Methods: PayPal, Gift Cards, Charity
Branded Surveys (Formerly Mintvine)
Branded Surveys (formerly MintVine) is a little different to the other sites because you accumulate points instead of currency. There are many different ways of earning points on Branded Surveys, including daily polls, surveys, bonuses, completing offers and referrals. The points are then converted into cash once you reach a minimum of 1000 points.
Minimum Payout Threshold: 1000 Points ($10)
Withdrawal Methods: PayPal, Branded Pay, Gift Cards, Charity
Bonuses:
- Sign up: 200 Points
- Profile Completion: 50 Points
- Address added: 5 Points
- 10 Polls in a row: 25 Points
Prolific Academics
I personally haven’t tried Prolific Academics out properly yet, but I know that it is a popular site and one of the favourites among other bloggers including Emma Drew.
One of the best factors about Prolific is that you will never be screened out of a survey, which can be a very frustrating aspect of taking surveys. The payments per survey are usually high and the subjects are interesting.
Minimum Payout Threshold: £5 (PayPal fees apply) or £20 (No fees apply)
Withdrawal Methods: PayPal
Coral Club
This survey site is different to all the others because you don’t actually get paid for it, however you do earn an entry into their monthly draw every time a survey is completed. The prize draw takes place on the last week of each month with a prize pot between £300-£500, which is shared between multiple winners. The top prize is £100.
Coral Club is associated with the bookmaker Coral and so every survey or question is related about sports or betting. Though, the good thing about Coral Club is that sometimes, you only have to answer a few simple questions.
So even if your not a sporting or betting fan, it might be worthwhile signing up and performing at least one survey a month just to gain an entry into the monthly draw.
Note: It’s an invite only club, so you will have to be signed up to the bookmaker Coral to even be considered and it may depend on your betting activity, whether you receive an email invite or not.

Street Bees
This is a recent company I have come across and so I have not had too much experience with them as of yet. However, I can say that the way they present their surveys is unique and refreshing because it’s in the style of a messaging app. Rather then filling out a traditional survey, it feels more like a conversation, which makes the surveys a bit more casual and fun. The payout process begins instantly after completing a survey, which is a great feature.
Minimum Payout Threshold: No Minimum (£0)
Withdrawal Methods: PayPal or Mobile Top Up (In countries where PayPal isn’t available)
Join Street Bees and use referral code: 7792K7
App available on: App Store & Google Play
Cons: The number of surveys is limited and some free surveys have to be completed to gain more paid surveys.
OnePoll
OnePoll may have a very high minimum payout threshold in comparison to other survey sites, but they do compensate by offering a great sign up bonus of £2.50. OnePoll will appeal to people who prefer shorter surveys offering smaller rewards.
Minimum Payout Threshold: £30
Withdrawal Methods: PayPal, BACS (Bank Transfer)
Bonus: £2.50 for registering
Extra: Complete surveys to enter competitions for cash prizes.
Also available on: App Store
Google Opinion Rewards
I love the Google Opinion Rewards app because they are the easiest surveys to complete, with some only being one question long. The surveys might be really short, but the pay is pretty good considering. I once answered 1 question which took 1 second and I got 9p added to my account for it; now that’s an hourly rate of £324, you can’t get much better than that haha. Obviously you can’t earn that much though because the really short surveys aren’t regularly either. They will all add up eventually though. You can receive notifications on your phone whenever a new survey is available.
Minimum Payout Threshold: £0 (Automatically added to Google Play credit)
Redeem Methods: Google Play, PayPal
Available on: App Store & Google Play
