Using mobile apps can be an easy, fun way to make some extra money. I have tried a variety of different apps, including some that I use on a regular basis. I will include the apps I have tried below with descriptions on how they work. I will keep this page updated if I find any new apps.
Don’t expect to become rich from these apps, but any boost to your profits can make a difference. Also, all the listed apps are FREE, so why not give them a go. Most of them can be used from the comfort of your home. I hope you enjoy this page and have fun making money from your phone.
Here is a list of some of the mobile apps I use for making money. Click on the app names in red to go to the apps page:
Swissborg Community – Swissborg has a community app, which gives you the chance to win free Bitcoin by predicting whether Bitcoin will go up or down within 24 hours. Use referral code VWC6QMI to get 3000 points. Move up the leader board by getting more points from correct predictions. When the competition ends, the prize pool (up to $500,000) of BTC and CHSB will be distributed out to everyone according to your ranking in the competition. You can also complete challenges and earn badges to win 250 CHSB Tokens. All BTC and CHSB winnings will be sent to the SwissBorg Wealth App (Get up to €100 free bitcoin when you deposit €50 or equivalent).
Coin – With this app, you Geomine in order to earn COIN, which can then be redeemed for items, such as cryptocurrency, electronics and other products. There are other methods of earning COIN via the app too, such as daily rewards, surveys and from watching ads.
Pi – This is a simple app that automatically mines for Pi in the background, whilst not using up your battery or data. Pi is a form of cryptocurrency, which is worthless at the moment and so it’s more of an investment for when Pi gains value, or becomes listed on cryptocurrency exchanges. This will then allow you to exchange your Pi into real money. Claim your pi via this link and use my username moneyskipper as your invitation code.
Airtime Rewards – Automatically receive cash rewards every time you make a purchase from a participating retailer with your linked debit cards or credit cards. The cash you earn is then used to get money off your phone bill. Use the referral code U7H3VJFP to get 50p free credit and an extra £1 if you spend within 7 days.
Receipt Apps – There are quite a few available apps for submitting your receipts to, including Shoprrize, ZipZero and Huyu. For more info on these apps, check out 6 apps for turning receipts into money. The apps are simple to use and all work in a similar way. You just need to photograph and submit each paper receipt to each app in order to get points, which can then be redeemed as Amazon vouchers, PayPal payments or phone bill payments.
Current – This app pays you just for listening to music. So rather than paying for a music streaming service like Spotify, you could get paid instead. It can take a while to make a decent amount, however, you can also increase your earnings by completing tasks & offers, sharing opinions, watching videos, referring people and via daily bonus. Points can be redeemed for cash via PayPal, products, Google Play gift cards or Bonus Buck gift cards.
Mobilio (Use code p4nr5o to get 50 bonus points) – Earn points for not using your phone whilst driving. Points can be converted into mobilio currency, which can hopefully be used as a cryptocurrency for making purchases in the future or by selling on a cryptocurrency exchange. For now, I’m seeing it as an investment and hoping it will increase in value.
Phoneum (Use code p6vp1h35 to receive 200 PHT bonus) – This app works similarly to the Pi app, as mentioned above. The Phoneum app mines for PHT cryptocurrency, but it is earned in the cloud. Therefore, once earning has been initiated in the app, the app does not require the device to keep it open or running in the background, in order to earn PHT. You simply have to claim your PHT and begin a new earning session every 7 days, after being notified. There is a minimum withdrawal of 20,000 PHT.
Search Lotto – Get free National Lottery ‘Lotto’ and ‘Euromillions’ syndicate tickets just by using the search lotto app or website as a search engine like Google. You can get 4 free lottery entries per week. Perform 25 searches using search lotto to get 1 entry. Any winning ticket is split evenly between all 20 syndicate members. Only 1 search query can be verified every 2 minutes and only 20 per day. Make sure you vary your searches because identical or extremely similar recent searches won’t count. Check out Free UK Lotteries for more free lotteries.
ITV7 Racing – Get the chance of winning free cash, sometimes with a jackpot prize of up to £50,000. To win a prize, you must select 7 winning horses within the app. Prize money is shared equally if there are multiple winners. If there are no winners, there is a consolation prize of £1000 (Broadcast comps) or £100 (Non-broadcast comp) to the closest winner. There are often multiple chances of winning weekly via the app with higher jackpots on broadcasted races. If you want to earn more money from horse racing, then check out how you can make risk-free money from matched betting, which has been my most successful method for making money online.
StormGain – You can use the StormGain app as a cryptocurrency exchange for buying and selling crypto. There is also a great feature on StormGain that allows you to mine for free Bitcoin (BTC), which you can restart every 4 hours. The mining works via the cloud in the background, so there is no need to have the app open. The minimum withdrawal is 10 USDT/Tether (equivalent BTC). At the lowest status, you can mine for a daily income of 0.00003 Bitcoin, worth around 1.16 USDT. To increase your status and earning potential, you must increase your Tether trading volume.
Google Opinion Rewards – I love this app because they provide the easiest surveys to complete, with some only being one question long. The surveys might be really short, but the pay is pretty good considering. I’ve received 9p just for answering 1 simple question before. The only problem with Google Opinion is that the surveys are not always regular, however the small earnings will all add up eventually. You can receive notifications on your phone whenever a new survey is available. Any earnings are automatically added to your Google Play Credit and available to use. I think you can get paid via PayPal too, but I’m not sure how. Make sure you use up any Google Play Credit within a year before it expires. Click here to find out how to make money using other survey sites.
Cointiply – Cointiply is a Bitcoin faucet, which means you can earn free bitcoin using various methods across the app. You can earn ‘Coins’ via completing offers; winning free bitcoin every hour; viewing ads and videos, doing surveys, making referrals, plus many more. ‘Coins’ can then be converted into Bitcoin. You can also get 5% annual interest on your coins, once you have earned 35,000 Coins. The minimum direct (to your Bitcoin wallet) withdrawal amount is 50,000 Coins. 10,000 Coins = $1.
Sweatcoin – This is one of my favourite apps and it’s so simple to use. You basically get paid for walking, both indoors and outdoorts. Instead of earning money directly, sweatcoins are used as currency within the app, which can be used to buy offers, products, free trials, donations or for auctions. Offers start at 0 Sweatcoins, thus making them free. Get 5 free Sweatcoins for signing up via my link. For more info, check out how I have received over £600 worth of free stuff using Sweatcoin.
CheckoutSmart – is a handy app that allows you to earn cashback on supermarket items. There are always many offers to choose from, including some 100% cashback items, thus making them free. Check out other sites and apps for receiving cashback. Earning from this app is easy. Simply buy any of the items listed on the app from a corresponding supermarket (in-store or online), upload a picture of the receipt, then cashback will be paid into your account.
Snatch – Did you ever play Pokemon Go, or at least hear about it, well Snatch is not too dissimilar. It is a free augmented reality treasure hunt game, however instead of catching Pokemon, you pick up virtual parcels, which must be kept for 6 hours. At the end of the time period, the parcels reveal a reward or prize, such as free trials, discounts, free coins, etc. Find or snatch a Golden Parcel and it will contain a cash prize so make sure you can hold onto them. Sounds easy right? Well it’s called Snatch for a reason and that’s because the Parcels you collect can be snatched by other members during the waiting period. There are ways to defend or attack against other Snatch members, but it will use up coins you have accumulated. Sign up via this link and receive 1000 free coins.
Hold – Hold is a mobile app that basically gives University students an incentive to stop using their phone whilst studying. Open up the app and receive 10 points for every 20 minutes of phone inactivity. Accumulate points in order to redeem them for rewards, such as product discounts, free trials, and other offers. The minimum amount of phone inactivity needed for a redemption is just 20 minutes (10 points). At this moment, Hold is only available for Students in Norway and UK.
